That is hilarious!!! I was actually just saying some of those very things to someone this last weekend. It seems to be about keeping a well-rounded perspective and experience rather than becoming myopic in our outlook.
These could be rantings from my Mother. She used to say that the repetition of the new worship choruses were from the devil. She even had scripture to back that thought up. She liked those old hymns. Pat D.
